I wonder if I should go for Dg (disciple group).
It's like my schedule seems packed.
He will make a way...?
I mean, there's bowling & write IG to attend, and I am trying my best to go for crusades every monday. And Church on sundays.
I am not making excuses, but it is difficult.
I love to be in the company of Christians.
I love fellowship time.
But I am a christian in a non christian home environment.
People think it's easy to be a christian.
BUT they are so wrong.
It is easy to say you are a christian.
But it is not easy to lead a christian lifestyle.
I feel that all I have said so far are excuses, but it is my form of reflection.
Ben,You sound like what my pastor would have said,
'Obey your mother.'

Back to posting here!
Been a long while.
See,this is what happens, when you let life get the better of you.
You become sucked into the whirlwind life throws you,and like a manic, you lose control.
Looking back,I've been quoting lots of verses.
But though I know the meaning,I can't really say that I can apply it.
So what I want to do now,is to share testimonies & thanksgivings.
& apply verses whenever necessary.
Ok,so what am I glad for?
I am glad I got into Rp (finally, after a long time.)
I mean, after awhile, when the dust settles, you begin to see some good in things.
Like how I was disappointed when I went for bowling trials but didn't get into school team.
But I am glad I made new friends,as well as found a brother in christ. (=
& he's now strengthening my resolve,to stay in Christ.
The thing is,I am starting to stray from the path.
And the worst revelation is when you know, yet don't make it a point to change. )=
So I pray now, that I may regain the passion for His work.
And to let the past remain in the past.

Comparisons.
Romans 14:10-12
10Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God;
11For it is written,"As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,and every tongue shall confess to God."
12So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.
John 21:20-22
20Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who had been reclining at table close to him and had said, "Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?"
21When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus,"Lord, what about this man?"
22Jesus said to him, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?You follow me!"
Basically,it means that we should avoid comparing ourselves to others, because God created us as unique individuals. Therefore, when we find our own special God given talents,we wouldn't fall into the state of judging others.
In the first verse,we are warned to not to think of ourselves as higher/more superior than our neighbour. This is because each of us will eventually face God and give Him a personal account of our lives on judgement day.And then again, why should that stop us from thinking of ourselves as better than our neighbors?I think this is best summed up in Matthew 7:2,where it says:For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
In the second verse,Jesus told his disciple to not be concerned about the life of others (how they are living it,) but rather on his own,and to just follow Him.In the same way,Jesus calls us to travel our distinctive journey with Him,without being bothered by the earthly things around us.
Ecclesiastes 5:19-20
19Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
20For he will not much remember the days of his life because God keeps him occupied with joy in his heart.
This is the verse that I find reassuring, that when God blesses us,we will not have a problem in following in His ways, and thus making our lives more enjoyable and comfortable in this lifetime.

Whose Side Are You Leaning On?
Does anyone know this song?Sounds kiddish, but IMO,there is no such category as Kid or adult praise (:
Whose Side Are You Leaning On
Whose side are you leaning on?
Leaning on the Lord's side.
Whose side are you leaning on?
Leaning on the Lord's side.
I lean,I lean,I lean,
Leaning on the Lord's side.
This song reminds me of two things (:
1)When we're down,or just need to be comforted,we can go to him. :D
For it is said,"the Lord is my rock." Remember, and be reassured. For even if the world forsakes you,He never will.
2)It reminds me that we have to make a clear stand of whose side we are on.
There is no sitting on the fence. It's either you're on His side,or not.And if you are not,you are His enemy's son. All of us are sons of man (Adam),but when we accept Christ,we're also God's children! [Sorta like a promotion~ :D ] Yepps. And well, just remember,Satan is the Father of all lies. He'd so love to convince you that you have control over all the situations, especially when you are not.He led a third of all heaven's angels by his deceit.Let's make a concious effort to not add to his legion of the fallen.I mean,is he really that creative? NO! Why?Simple. What sin has man commited today that is not a repelica of what happened way before we were born? Say our ancestor's times? None.It may be a variation, yes. But not a new category by itself.Satan has certain powers, but not all.
I am leaning on the Lord's side.
Are you?

Charisma & leadership.
"Even if you want me to be a fool, you have to give me a reason to do so.If you want me to crawl, I'll crawl. If you want me to bark,I'll bark. But you'll have to give me a valid reason for doing so."
Lol.And have you ever wondered? Why we follow certain people's leadership? It's not wrong to be a follower, but at least know why you are following one instead of the other.Be clear on your stand, and let it not waiver because of something someone said.So saying that, there's a difference,a very fine line, between being obstinate or if you will, stubborn and standing up for what you believe in.
Being obstinate,is being unreasonable.Like if you just want things to be done your way, regardless of situation. But taking a stand for what you believe in,is having the ability to answer for your opinion, without being overtly defensive.Otherwise, you might run the risk of losing the person's interest, and trust. No one likes to be run down in public. What everybody need to bear in mind,is the importance of going into any discussion with an open mind.
I mean, have you noticed, that some mega church(es) which may not have sound teachings, yet they attract a huge crowd?Ever wondered why?IMO,it's 'cause they have such charismatic leaders.Who can reach out to the people.Who can bring across a diffcult message to a layman crowd. It's the connection, the rapport they have with their audience, which attracts people, not necessarily so because of what they teach. But how they teach.
Therefore, wouldn't you agree that leaders have the added responsibilty to make sure what they teach is correct? Leaders should not worry too much about critisims,'cause when it happens,it just means that people have been taking note of what you're doing, and are trying to tell you areas where you can improve on.Thus, it's important to be able to discern between negative and constructive critisisms.
So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that you're my Lord
You're altogether lovely, altogether worthy,
Altogether wonderful to me.

Treasures.
And He took my place,
Knowing He'd be crucified,
And You loved, You loved,
A people undeserving.
I want to know you more,
I want to see your face.
That's about how I feel now..I WANT to see you.And immediately,at that.Now.Right now.
Such is the world we're living in.Everything done must not be anything less than instantaneous.
Otherwise, you risk all that you have-wealth,position,power.But all that is nothing,if you possess all but sprituality.Isn't it?For we came with nothing, and will go with nothing. So,all the material possessions will only tide us through this lifetime on Earth. Is a fleeting moment of empty happiness worth an eternity? For there is a God shaped hole in us,that cannot, and will never,be replaced by anything or anyone else.
Chew on that.
Matthew 6:19-21
19"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Spiritual growth results from trusting Jesus Christ. "The righteous man shall live by faith" (Galatians 3:11). A life of faith will enable you to trust God increasingly with every detail of your life, and to practice the following:
G Go to God in prayer daily (John 15:7).
R Read God's Word daily (Acts 17:11); begin with the Gospel of John.
O Obey God moment by moment (John 14:21).
W Witness for Christ by your life and words (Matthew 4:19; John 15:8).
T Trust God for every detail of your life (1 Peter 5:7).
H Holy Spirit - allow Him to control and empower your daily life and witness (Galatians 5:16,17; Acts 1:8).
