The deformed baby. By; Jason.

John 17:24-26 (The Message)
Father, I want those you gave me
To be with me, right where I am,
So they can see my glory, the splendor you gave me,
Having loved me
Long before there ever was a world.
Righteous Father, the world has never known you,
But I have known you, and these disciples know
That you sent me on this mission.
I have made your very being known to them—
Who you are and what you do—
And continue to make it known,
So that your love for me
Might be in them
Exactly as I am in them.
A woman is in the hospital. She is having a son who will never see his father because his father died in a tragic gun fight in a distant country protecting the homeland. As she endures the enormous pain induced normally during child-birth with no one to hold her hand, she starts crying and yelling.. The pain gets worse and worse... The doctors have told her that if she gets even the smallest amount of pain medicine it would kill the baby. The doctors gave her a choice. Since the baby is not completely born yet, she could still give an abortion and use some medicine to help with the pain. She tells them she'll stick it out. It was her husband's dream to have a son. Once it is out, the doctors see there is something wrong. The baby doesn't look right.. He is missing a leg and the hand on his right arm. Somehow they didn't grow properly in her womb. The doctors had to tell her.. One whispered "I'm sorry ma'am. But your baby is deformed.. " She didn't listen, She was yelling at him trying to get to her baby boy.. He told her again "Your baby is deformed ma'am! She was still yelling seemingly without any signs of giving in. So the doctor gave up. He let her hold the baby and see for herself.. She stopped yelling and started to cry. The doctor looked at her with a tear in his eye. "I'm sorry ma'am." She just looking at him.. "For what?" The doctor replied "For how he looks.." She just looked at him in amazement... "This wonderful, beautiful baby boy is absolutely perfect. He is his father's dream come true. His daddy died in the war for him. What could be wrong with a baby if someone would die for him?" The doctor looked at her in shock. "I had no idea ma'am.." She said " Just because a certain thing looks a certain way doesn't mean it is..This is the most precious gift God has given to me since my husband.. I always love this perfect boy with all my heart."
We aren't perfect. We mess up over and over again. We give God so much pain just as this woman in this illustration was in pain. It sometimes is crazy to think He still loves us. That He still wants us. Yet he does!
Luke 23: 34-35 (The Message)
Jesus prayed, "Father, forgive them; they don't know what they're doing."
Dividing up his clothes, they threw dice for them. The people stood there staring at Jesus, and the ringleaders made faces, taunting, "He saved others. Let's see him save himself! The Messiah of God—ha! The Chosen—ha!"
Even while Jesus was being crucified He wanted God the Father to forgive those who are killing Him. Even while they were in the middle of getting Jesus' clothes for themselves.. God's Son died for us just like the father in the story died for his son. In the story, the dad was thinking especially about his son. Jesus was thinking about you and just like the baby wasn't perfect we aren't either. Yet God overlooks that imperfection and suffers though it. How great is our God! He suffers the pain of us disobeying Him over and over again knowing that Jesus has died for us and in His death we are made perfect. Thank Him today as you live your life. Praise Him with your lifesong. Live for Him as He died for you.
She was loved. 9:35 PM
